AIR QUALITY ALERT IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT TONIGHT
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Action Day until midnight tonight.
An Air Quality Action Day means that fine particulates within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. Levels of fine particles will increase statewide today continuing into the evening hours.
The effects of air pollution can be minimized by avoiding strenuous activity or exercise outdoors.
The very young, the very old, and those with compromised immune systems, and those with heart and lung conditions should stay indoors. Keep windows and doors closed.
