A health/air quality advisory has been issued for New Jersey. Please see the attachment for further information.
The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued an Air Quality Action day for today, June 7th. Sensitive individuals, including those with heart and lung disease, the elderly, and the young should limit strenuous activities and the amount of time active outdoors. Levels of fine particulates will rise into the unhealthy for sensitive groups category statewide and potentially extend into the evening hours due to wildfire smoke transport from the eastern Canadian wildfires. Due to the dense nature of the wildfire smoke, and chances for precipitation, ozone is forecast to remain in the good category.
