INCIDENT: PC 3056- Parole Violation, PC 148.9(a)- False Identification to Peace Officer, PC 647(h)- Loitering, H&S 11377(a)- Possession of Controlled Substance
LOCATION: 26900 block of Baseline Street, Highland
SUSPECT(S): John Mason, 49-years-old, resident of San Bernardino
Keith Ray, 32-years-old, resident of Highland
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 7, at about 7:30 a.m., the Highland Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) deputies conducted proactive patrol. Deputies contacted several subjects loitering and littering behind the War Memorial wall at Baseline Street and Central Avenue. During the contact, one of the subjects provided false identification information. Deputies used several database systems and positively identified the subject as John Mason, a resident of San Bernardino. Mason had a felony no-bail warrant for a parole violation.
Deputies also contacted Keith Ray, who had a misdemeanor warrant for possessing dangerous drugs. Deputies located evidence of illegal drugs on Ray's persons. Ray was arrested for H&S 11377(a); possession of a controlled substance.
Mason was transported to West Valley Detention Center and booked for his felony no-bail warrant, PC 148.9(a); false information to a peace officer, and 647(h); loitering.
