The body of the male found in Lawrence Lake on Monday June 5th was identified as Christopher Larry Curtis, 44-year-old male. The cause of death is still unknown pending toxicology results.

On June 5th at 9:03 AM, APD officers were called to possible deceased person in Lawrence Lake. The Amarillo Police Department Dive Team located a deceased male in the lake. The body has been recovered. More information will be released once it is available.
The Amarillo Police Department Dive Team will be at the lake periodically trolling throughout the day.
