The New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Red Air Quality Alert continuing through at least 9:00am on Friday. A Code Red Air Quality Alert means that air quality within the region may approach or exceed unhealthy standards. PROTECT YOUR HEALTH when air quality is poor! Smoke from Canadian wildfires is causing poor air quality in New Jersey.

• Stay indoors whenever possible
• Avoid strenuous outdoor activity
• Keep windows and doors closed
• If an air conditioner is available run it, keep fresh-air intake closed and filter clean
• Lessen indoor pollution (candles, smoking, vaccums, etc).
• Wear an N95 mask if you must travel outside.
