Subject Arrested Out of County for Big Bear Fentanyl Sales

SUSPECT(S): Kelly Roark, 50 Year-Old Resident of Sugarloaf

SUMMARY: On June 7, 2023, investigators with the Big Bear Sheriff’s Multiple Enforcement Team (MET) concluded an investigation into the sales of fentanyl in the Big Bear area.
During the investigation, it was determined Kelly Roark was selling fentanyl to residents of the Big Bear area, from motels in both Orange and Los Angeles counties. Roark also had an active felony warrant for his arrest, which was issued in August of 2020, for violation of his San Bernardino County Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS).
On June 7, 2023, investigators with the Big Bear Multiple Enforcement Team conducted surveillance at a motel in the 8400 block of Artesia Boulevard, in the city of Bellflower. Roark was observed leaving a motel room and was taken into custody without incident. Investigators located evidence related to fentanyl sales in Roark’s motel room. Roark was also found to have a handcuff key concealed on his person.
Roark was transported back to San Bernardino County and booked into the West Valley Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bail.
