On June 8th, 2023, the Simi Valley Police Department, with the assistance of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department, concluded a multi-month investigation into a Commercial Burglary Crew.  This investigation concluded with the arrests of Lancaster residents Jkori Brewster (22 years old) and Naryan Reed (20 years old).  Search warrants were served on a residence, where both suspects resided, and two vehicles in the City of Lancaster. Evidence was located, during these search warrants, implicating both suspects in these burglaries.

In summary, over the course of the last few months, Simi Valley and Thousand Oaks businesses have been targeted by this crew.  The modus operandi (MO) involved late night rear window smashes and/or rear doors being pried open with a crowbar.  Once inside, the suspects targeted registers and loose cash.  In total, there were eleven confirmed burglaries.  Seven in Simi Valley and four in Thousand Oaks.  The total loss, including damage to the businesses, was approximately $34,000.
