* At 707 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located near Wartburg, moving northeast at 30 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and ping pong ball size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near... Oliver Springs around 720 PM EDT. Clinton around 755 PM EDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Norris Dam State Park, Norris, Caryville, Coalfield, Disney, Cove Lake State Park, Andersonville, Rosedale, Frozen Head State Park and Petros. This includes Interstate 75 in Tennessee between mile markers 117 and 137.
