On June 12, 2023, at approximately 1428 hours, deputies were dispatched to the 3100 block of Belle Terrace for an unknown situation. The sheriff's office received reports that a male exited his residence yelling for help. Deputies arrived to find a 75-year-old male inside his residence. The male continued to yell for help as deputies attempted to make contact with the male. When deputies entered the residence to check the welfare of the male, the male brandished a firearm at the deputies. The deputies moved to a safe position and started communication with the male. Deputies continued their communication efforts with the male for approximately thirty minutes. When deputies saw the male was no longer armed, they entered the residence and took the male into custody.

The suspect, 75-year-old George Fisher, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a deadly weapon at a peace officer, animal cruelty, and resisting arrest.
