Detectives Investigate Fatal Stabbing/Shooting in Victorville

LOCATION: 16300 block of Pebble Beach Drive, Victorville
SUSPECT(S): Ladale Sanders, 21-year-old Victorville Resident (Deceased)
VICTIM(S): Mary Flores, 49-year-old Victorville Resident (Deceased)
Confidential, 60-year-old Male, Victorville Resident
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 11, 2023, deputies from the Victorville Police Department responded to reports of shots heard, in the 16300 block of Pebble Beach Drive. Upon arriving, deputies found Mary Flores collapsed in the parking lot of the apartment complex, suffering from stab wounds. Flores was later pronounced deceased at a nearby hospital. Additionally, deputies located Ladale Sanders and a 60-year-old male inside an apartment at the location. Sanders suffered gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene. The 60-year-old male suffered stab wounds and was transported to a hospital for treatment.
Detectives with the Sheriff’ Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail responded and assumed the investigation. Through their investigation, detectives learned Sanders attacked and chased a resident at the complex, striking him with a hammer. After attacking the initial victim, Sanders stabbed Flores as she attempted to leave the location. Sanders ran to the 60-year-old’s apartment, broke in, and stabbed him. After Sanders broke into the apartment, a shooting occurred inside the apartment.
