HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms. SOURCE...Radar. IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor drainage and low-lying areas.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Walnut Ridge, Cherokee Village, Hoxie, Salem in Fulton County, Ash Flat, Black Rock, Lake Charles State Park, Highland in Sharp County, Mammoth Spring, Hardy, Imboden, Ravenden, Portia, Viola, Strawberry, Lynn, Alicia, Minturn, Ballard and Annieville.

Instructions:
Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
