INCIDENT: PC 664/459 – Attempted Burglary
LOCATION: Kelley’s Underground, 22441 Outer Highway 18, Apple Valley
SUSPECT(S): Patrick Whitaker, 45-year-old male of Apple Valley
VICTIM(S): Kelley’s Underground
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 14, 2023, at approximately 10:55 p.m., the owner of Kelley’s Underground received an alarm notification at the business. The business owner was able to view surveillance footage and saw a white male attempting to pry open a glass door at the business. The victim drove to her business and saw the subject in the area.
At approximately 11:14 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the reported alarm at the business. Deputy Justin Hiromoto arrived shortly thereafter and contacted the business owner and the suspect at a nearby business.
Deputy Hiromoto investigated and subsequently arrested Patrick Whitaker for attempted burglary. Whitaker was booked at High Desert Detention Center, where he is being held in lieu of $30,000 bail.
