Flood Advisory until 09:30PM Saturday

* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of west central Texas, including the following counties, Callahan, Jones, Nolan and Taylor.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 619 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This is causing urban and small stream flooding. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Abilene, Wylie, Merkel, Tye, Trent, Dyess Afb, Caps, View, Potosi, Impact, Stith, Hodges, Kirby Lake and Camp Butman. - This includes the following highways... Interstate 20 between Mile Markers 260 and 292. This includes the following Low Water Crossings... Curry Lane from Clack Street to Catclaw Drive, Intersections along Buttonwillow Parkway, Intersections along Sammons Street, Texas Avenue at Arnold Boulevard, Butternut Underpass, 2000 block of Oak Street, Antilley Rd. crossing Button Willow Creek, North 6th Street and Willis, South 20th Street and Brentwood and Broken Bough At Chimney Rock. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
