Heat Advisory until 12:00PM Monday

* WHAT...For the Heat Advisory, temperatures from 103 to 107 degrees are expected. For the Excessive Heat Warning, dangerously hot conditions with temperatures from 105 to 110 degrees are expected.

* WHERE...Sterling, Coke, Concho, Runnels, Irion, Tom Green, Crockett, Schleicher, Sutton, Kimble, Brown, Coleman, San Saba, McCulloch, Menard, and Mason Counties.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, until noon CDT Monday. For the Excessive Heat Warning, from noon Monday to 9 PM CDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Expect heat index values of 105 to 110 degrees across portions of the Heat Advisory this afternoon and evening.

Instructions:

An Excessive Heat Warning means that dangerously hot weather conditions are occurring or expected. This will create a DANGEROUS SITUATION in which heat illnesses are likely. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and neighbors. Take extra precautions if you work or spend time outside. When possible, reschedule strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light weight and loose fitting clothing when possible. Never, ever, leave children or pets alone in enclosed vehicles, not even for a few minutes.
