Milling and Paving will be taking place from 7:00 am to 4:00pm Monday thru Friday (No work on Saturday or Sunday) on the following streets in the Boro between Monday, June 19, 2023 and Friday June 30, 2023: Tennent Avenue / aka CR 522 (entire length), Main Street / aka CR 527 (between Tennent Avenue / CR 522 and the entrance to the Old Bank at 14 Main Street), Harrison Avenue (entire length), Hamilton Street (between Harrison Avenue and Main Street / aka CR 527), Center Street (between Harrison Avenue and Main Street / aka CR 527), Dey Street (entire length), Main Street / aka CR 527 (between Center Street and Gordons Corner Road / aka CR 22), Gordons Corner Road / aka CR 22 (between Main Street / aka CR 527 and the Borough Border with Manalapan Township) and Wilson Avenue / aka CR 527 (between Gordons Corner Road / aka CR 22 and the entrance to the Village Center Strip Mall). The work will require the closing of the aforementioned roadways at different times diring the two week construction period. Detours will be in place necessary. If no detour is in place and vehicular traffic is permitted to traverse through a construction area, motorists are reminded of New Jersey Statute 39:4-92.2 the "Move Over Law" which requires motorists to move over one lane OR if a lane change would be impossible, prohibited by law or unsafe, reduce the speed of the motor vehicle to a reasonable and proper speed for the existing road and traffic conditions, which speed shall be LESS than the posted speed limit, and be prepared to stop.
