Four Corners
The management company for the property that contains CVS is actively carrying out restoration efforts to their private utility line that provides water service to their fire suppression system. A structural engineer has evaluated the building and has certified the majority of the property is safe for re-entry. CVS must remain closed at this time. If you need a prescription in a timely manner, you are encouraged to call CVS and/or your physician to have them change the pharmacy location. At this time, we do not have an estimated date/time when CVS will re-open. All other businesses are expected to open tomorrow morning for regular business, however, the property still has impacted areas and parking is quite limited. Nearby street parking is a viable alternative to parking in the lot. The parking lot is accessible via the entrance from Pelhamdale Avenue.
Stormwater
The Village of Pelham Manor is proud to be one of the few municipalities in Westchester to have taken a Village-wide approach to assessing our drainage infrastructure. This effort is our most recent endeavor that builds upon a history of maintenance and improvements to our stormwater system. In addition to the undertaking of this in-depth assessment, the engineering firm who conducted the study presented their findings at the June 12 Board of Trustees meeting, which was open to the public to attend in-person or observe through our regularly utilized streaming mechanisms (Facebook and Vimeo). As discussed at Board of Trustees meetings in May, the full narrative of the assessment was uploaded to our website on Monday, June 5. As part of our continued commitment to transparency, we added Appendix A to the website to support review of the assessment narrative. In addition to being voluminous in file size and number, the other appendices are very technical in nature. As a result, residents continue to be welcome to come to Village Hall to view the additional appendices and an explanation of their technical components.
