HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Emergency management / 911 call center reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses.
* Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Columbus, Landrum, Tryon, Chimney Rock State Park, Mill Spring and Lake Adger. Tributaries of the north Pacolet River including Skyuka Creek are confirmed to be experiencing flash flooding. Multiple roadway closures were reported along Lynn Road from Capps Road to Rippy Road, as well as at the intersection of Silver Creek Road and Garret Road.
