INCIDENT: PC 25850(c)(2) - Carrying a Stolen and Loaded Firearm, CVC 12500(A) - Unlicensed Driver
LOCATION: Eastbound Interstate 40 & W. Broadway Street, Needles, California
SUSPECT(S): Angel Fabian Aragon, 28-years-old, Resident of Phoenix, Arizona.
Confidential Juvenile, 17-years-old, Resident of Mesa, Arizona.
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On June 15, 2023, at approximately 10:55 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station initiated a traffic stop on eastbound Interstate 40 near the offramp to W. Broadway Street for vehicle code violations. During the traffic stop, deputies discovered the vehicle was driven by an unlicensed 17-year-old juvenile and five Hispanic male adult passengers.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies located a loaded 9mm pistol and two bolt cutters. A records check of the firearm revealed it was reported stolen.
The juvenile was issued a citation for CVC 12500(A) - Unlicensed Driver and released with a future court date. Suspect Angel Aragon was arrested for PC 25850(c)(2) - Possession of a Stolen and Loaded Firearm. Aragon was transported and booked in at the Colorado River Station Jail. Aragon remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000 .00, awaiting a court hearing.
