At 456 PM MDT, Doppler radar was tracking a couple gusty and dry
thunderstorms near Portales and Cannon AFB, moving east at 35 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts of 50 to 55 mph and localized blowing dust.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around
unsecured objects. A few cloud-to-ground lightning strikes possible. Blowing dust may significantly drop visibility in dust-prone locations.
Locations impacted include...
Portales, Floyd, Arch, Cannon Air Force Base, Oasis State Park and
Portair. This includes Highway 60 between Mile Markers 378 and 384.
