INCIDENT: PC 487(A) - Grand Theft of Property
LOCATION: 7100 Block of PanaskaTrail, Big River, CA
SUSPECT(S): Alex Rotar, 46-years-old, Resident of Big River, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Sunday, June 18, 2023, at approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a call for service regarding stolen property. The victim stated someone stole several items out of their front yard and it was captured on his home video surveillance. Through investigation, the suspect was identified as Alex Rotar.
On Tuesday, June, 20, 2023, at approximately 8:54 a.m., deputies contacted Rotar. All of the items stolen from the victim's yard were recovered and returned to the victim without incident.
Rotar was arrested for P.C. 487(A) - Grand Theft of Property and transported to the Morongo Station jail for booking. Rotar remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
