...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY EVENING FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW RELATIVE HUMIDITY AND DRY FUELS FOR FIRE WEATHER ZONES 207 AND 290... The National Weather Service in Grand Junction has issued a Fire Weather Watch for gusty winds, low relative humidity and dry fuels, which is in effect from Thursday afternoon through Thursday evening. A Fire Weather Watch has also been issued from late Friday morning through Friday evening.
* AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 207 Southwest Colorado Lower Forecast Area and Fire Weather Zone 290 Paradox Valley Forecast Area.
* WINDS...For Thursday's Fire Weather Watch, south to southwest winds 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. For Friday's Fire Weather Watch, southwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...5 to 10 percent.
* IMPACTS...Conditions may become favorable for easy ignition and rapid spread of fires due to low relative humidity and strong gusty winds.
* AFFECTED AREAS: SOUTHWEST COLORADO LOWER FORECAST AREA ... PARADOX VALLEY
