Narrative:
The Moorpark Investigations Bureau concluded a two-week long investigation into the theft of landscape equipment by two suspects driving a dark colored Chevrolet Tahoe.  The same two suspects had repeatedly returned to the city of Moorpark to victimize landscape workers.  The suspects patiently waited for landscape workers to move to the backyard of a residence they were working at. Taking advantage of this situation, they seized the opportunity to steal landscape equipment from vehicles parked on the street.  There are at least eight separate victims of theft that are tied to these same two suspects.  On 06-20-23, a victim of a previous theft recognized the suspect vehicle driving suspiciously in the area of Championship Drive and Snead Drive and reported it to Sheriff’s Dispatch.

A Traffic Sergeant spotted the suspect’s vehicle travelling south on Walnut Canyon Road towards the city of Moorpark.  A traffic stop was initiated, and two suspects were arrested without incident.  Evidence of the thefts was located inside of the suspect vehicle.  The two suspects are in custody for conspiracy to commit a crime, grand theft, possession of burglary tools, possession of a controlled substance, and a parole hold.  Each of the two suspects are being held in custody at the Ventura County Main Jail with a bail set at $250,000.00.
