* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of central North Carolina, including the following counties, Alamance, Anson, Chatham, Cumberland, Davidson, Durham, Forsyth, Guilford, Harnett, Hoke, Lee, Montgomery, Moore, Orange, Randolph, Richmond, Scotland, Stanly and Wake.

* WHEN...Through late tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Locally heavy rainfall is expected this afternoon and evening. This will fall on nearly saturated soils resulting in rapid runoff and possible flooding. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
