Suspect Arrested for Providing Marijuana to Minors and Sexual Assault of a Minor
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at approximately 8:43 p.m.
INCIDENT: P. C. 288(A) - Lewd Acts with a Minor Under 14
P.C. 272(A)(1) - Contributing to the Delinquency of a Minor
LOCATION: 100 Block of Marina Dr., Needles, CA
SUSPECT(S): David Stebbins, 25-years-old, Resident of Perris, CA
VICTIM(S): Confidential Female Juvenile
SUMMARY: On Wednesday, June 21, 2023, at approximately 8:43 p.m., deptuies from the Colorado River Station/Needles Police Department responded to a call for service reference a sexual assault. During the investigation, deputies learned that two juvenile victims were provided marijuana and one was sexually assaulted by the suspect.
At the conclusion of the investigation, David Stebbins was found to be in violation of P.C. 288(A)- Lewd Acts with a Minor Under 14 and P.C. 272(A)(1) - Contributing to the Deliquency of a Minor. Stebbins was consequently arrested and transported to Colorado River Station jail for booking. Stebbins remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department with a bail amount of $30,000.00, awaiting a court hearing.
