UPDATE on Train derailment update and water usage in Miles City and Custer County. Clink for info
In the early hours of June 24th a train derailed in Yellowstone County dumping an unknown substance into the Yellowstone River. At this time there is no impact to the Yellowstone River in Miles City or Custer County. Miles City and Custer County emergency services are aware of the incident and contingency plans are put in place. Further updates will be sent out through NIXLE.
There is no impact to the water system in Miles City or Custer County. The water is safe for consumption and daily usage.
