Please slow down and avoid leaving a wake if you're boating on Sylvan Lake in the channel, in the area of Boy Scout Island/Twin Island Rd.
Two boats were overturned by the storm, and salvage work is going on to turn them upright: Any waves would make the operation more dangerous. It's believed the operation will be going on for some time.
