Severe Thunderstorm Watch issued until 9 p.m. (highest storm risk times: 3 p.m. - 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. - 11 p.m.) 
The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that a Severe Thunderstorm Watch has been issued for the area until 9 p.m.
After this morning's passing showers/storms, we will be drier than not through the early portions of the afternoon before storms develop in the mid afternoon and again in the evening. The very humid air mass will support the development of strong storms which can be accompanied by gusty winds of up to 50-65 mph, some hail, and heavy rain.
Conditions are conducive for a tornado or two in the greater region, though the greatest concern will likely be west of the area into PA with the first round of storms this afternoon. After a bit of a lull the final batch of strong storms in the evening will begin to favor damaging winds more so, with a slightly lower risk to see the previously mentioned hazards. Activity tapers to just a few isolated showers towards midnight.
