* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following counties, in northeast New Jersey, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Passaic and Union. In southeast New York, Richmond (Staten Island), Rockland and Westchester.

* WHEN...Until 815 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 507 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen across some portions of the area. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected, locally 3 inches possible, over the area through 8pm. This additional rain will result in minor flooding, with a low probability for flash flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include...
