DETAILS: **update June 27, 2023**
The results of the autopsy from the young woman found in Hines Memorial Park show no trauma or suspected foul play. The Amarillo Police Department Homicide Unit has investigated all leads and spoken with friends and family members as well. Pending the results of the toxicology, this death is being ruled a suicide.
 
The Amarillo Police Department would like to remind everyone that this woman was a family member, friend, and a part of our community. Out of respect for her, her family, and her friends, please refrain from spreading any videos/pictures of the scene or false information about the incident.

On Sunday, June 25, at 9:06am, Officers were sent to the 1400 block of NW 18 in the park on a female found deceased. Homicide detectives responded and are investigating.   An autopsy has been ordered by JP Horn. Her family has been notified. We understand that some citizens have posted videos and false information has been circulating on social media. We would ask for the sake of the family and friends of the decedent, that these be taken down and not shared.
