SUMMARY: Deputies with the Apple Valley Police Department's Major Enforcement Team (MET) received information of possible drug sales occurring at a vacant business in the 20300 block of Highway 18. Deputy Ryan Grissom authored and obtained a search warrant for the location, based on the information received.

On Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at approximately 7:32 a.m., Deputy Grissom, with assistance from Apple Valley Police Detectives and San Bernardino County Probation, served the search warrant at the business. During the search of the vacant business illegal narcotics were recovered.

As the investigation developed, deputies were led to the suspect’s residence in the 11000 block of Saratoga Road in Apple Valley, where additional narcotics were located. Also located was a “Ghost” gun (a home built handgun with no serial number), high-capacity magazines, and narcotics paraphernalia. In total, approximately 300 grams of cocaine and methamphetamine were located. San Bernardino County Probation drug detection K-9, Bane Boy, was instrumental in locating the illegal narcotics.

Jesus Carrizoza and Richard Carrizoza were arrested for possession of narcotics for sales. Both were transported to High Desert Detention Center where they are being held in lieu of $50,000 bail.
