June 18, 2023

• Grand Theft:

1248 Oliva Court. On June 18, 2023 between 12 AM and 8 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s “Milwaukee” power tools from his unlocked Ford Transit, which was parked in his driveway. The loss was approximately $5,000. No surveillance video is available.
 
June 19, 2023

• Burglary (Vehicle):

1021 Hamilton Road. On June 19, 2023 between 11:44 AM and 6:30 PM, suspect(s) unknown broke the lock to his big that was parked at the location and stole multiple pieces of furniture. The loss was approximately $1,500. No surveillance video is available.
 

• Grand Theft Auto:

1860 Evergreen Street. Between June 18, 2023 12 PM and June 19, 2023 7 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim's parked vehicle, a white 2011 Ford Econoline box truck LIC 29756D1. No surveillance video is available.
 
June 20, 2023

June 21, 2023

• Shoplifting:

2315 Huntington Drive (CVS).  On June 21, 2023 at 10 AM, the suspect, a female Hispanic adult, entered the location, walked over to the liquor aisle, opened a margarita bottle, and began to drink it. The suspect also had several bottles of motor oil, which she opened. The store manager contacted the suspect and asked the suspect to leave, to which she refused. Deputies were called, and the suspect was arrested. The loss was approximately $40. Surveillance video is available.
 
 June 22, 2023

• Burglary (Commercial):

2752 Huntington Drive (Utility Tree Service). Between June 21, 2023 6 PM and June 22, 2023 7 AM, suspect(s) unknown forced entry into a storage container and stole the location's gardening tools. The loss was approximately $3,000. No surveillance video is available.
 
June 23, 2023

June 24, 2023

• Petty Theft:

914 Buena Vista Street Oliva. On June 24, 2023 between 8 AM and 8 PM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victim’s FedEx package from the location. The loss was approximately $220. No surveillance video is available.

   • Upgrading the locks on your doors, windows, sheds, and outbuildings

   • Putting your vehicle in the garage if you have one and not leaving valuables on display

3. Reducing the Means - Removing items that may help commit an offense
   • Don’t leave items lying around that could be used to force entry into your vehicle or house
   • Not leaving tools and ladders in plain view
   • Trim back shrubbery hiding doors or windows
4. Reducing the Payoff - Reducing the profit the criminal can make from the offense
   • Marking your property in such a way that others will not want to buy it from the thief
   • Inscribing your initials on property in several locations
   • Never buy property you believe or suspect to be stolen
