* At 1217 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Sherman, or 8 miles north of Springfield, moving east at 80 mph. HAZARD...Tornado and half dollar size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.
* This dangerous storm will be near... Mechanicsburg and Cornland around 1225 PM CDT. Illiopolis around 1230 PM CDT. This includes the following highways... Interstate 55 between mile markers 101 and 110. Interstate 72 between mile markers 108 and 123.
