Alert

AIR QUALITY ALERT: Due to sustained air quality, all outdoor pools are now closed. Indoor pools remain open. (6/29)

Due to sustained air quality, all outdoor pools have closed at 1PM. Indoor pools remain open.

To find an indoor pool near you visit
ttps://dpr.dc.gov/page/indoor-pools.
There is very poor air quality today, which may be unhealthy for people with heart or lung disease, older adults, children and teens. Reduced visibility is expected.  Wearing a mask may help limit irritation for those suffering from respiratory illnesses. Consider moving physical activities indoors or rescheduling them. Additionally, residents can take these steps to reduce exposure.  Choose less strenuous activities (like walking instead of running) so you don’t breathe as hard. Shorten time you are active outdoors. Save outdoor activities for days when air quality is better. Visit airnow.gov for more information.
