Full Notification

On June 29, 2023, at approximately 8:49 PM, Simi Valley Police Officers were dispatched to the 2300 block of Stearns Street in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon that had just occurred. Upon arrival Officers learned that a victim had been struck in the head with a baseball bat during an argument, and that the known suspect had fled on foot into the surrounding neighborhood. SVPD Officers, with the assistance of Police K9's and the Ventura County Sheriff's air unit, searched the area but the suspect was not located. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
