I-95 south is experiencing traffic delays and vehicles are using alternate routes like Highway-17 which is also starting to show some slow downs. Please be careful and give yourself extra time. Officials are also expecting hot and humid conditions so be on the lookout for heat related illnesses while outside. There will be several professional firework displays in the area this weekend but if you choose to shoot your own please use caution. Finally, remember the safety steps if you plan on grilling out this weekend as well. City Hall will be closed for the extended 4th of July Holiday weekend. We will reopen Wednesday morning at 8-30. Emergency officials will still be on duty in case of any emergency situation.
