* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Northeastern Dickinson County in central Kansas... Northwestern Geary County in east central Kansas... Southwestern Riley County in northeastern Kansas... Southeastern Clay County in north central Kansas...

* Until 615 PM CDT.

* At 543 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Milford, moving northeast at 15 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Trained weather spotters. At 543 PM CDT...trained spotter reported quarter size hail 4 miles south of Wakefield. IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include... Junction City, Ogden, Wakefield, Riley, Milford and Milford Lake.

* AFFECTED AREAS: CLAY, KS ... DICKINSON, KS ... GEARY, KS ... RILEY, KS

Instructions:

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a building. If on or near Milford Lake, get away from the water and move indoors or inside a vehicle. Remember, lightning can strike out to 15 miles from the parent thunderstorm. If you can hear thunder, you are close enough to be struck by lightning. Move to safe shelter now! Do not be caught on the water in a thunderstorm.
