* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of north central Illinois and northeast Illinois, including the following areas, in north central Illinois, De Kalb. In northeast Illinois, Cook, DuPage and Kane.

* WHEN...Until 1100 AM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 654 AM CDT, doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Up to 1 to 2 inches of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Chicago, Elgin, Cicero, Arlington Heights, Evanston, Schaumburg, Palatine, Skokie, Des Plaines, Berwyn, Mount Prospect, Wheaton, Hoffman Estates, Oak Park, Downers Grove, Glenview, Elmhurst, DeKalb, Lombard and Buffalo Grove. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
