* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook, DuPage and Lake IL.

* WHEN...Until 530 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 234 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated a slow-moving band of heavy rainfall moving onshore from Lake Michigan producing rainfall rates of 0.5 to 1 inch per hour. Ponding of water may occur quickly, especially in areas that received heavy rainfall earlier this morning. - Some locations that may experience minor flooding include... Highland Park, Northbrook, Wilmette, Des Plaines, Elmhurst, Downers Grove, Lombard. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
