Please be advised that the Albany Police Department has received reports of a black bear wandering in the area of New Scotland Avenue and Ontario Street.
IMPORTANT - Please do not approach the bear or attempt to follow if you see it.
We have officers in the area and have also been in contact with our law enforcement partners at the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police Department.
