* WHAT...Urban and small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York, including the following counties, in northeast New Jersey, Bergen, Essex and Passaic. In southeast New York, Rockland.

* WHEN...Until 1115 PM EDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 915 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. This will cause urban and small stream flooding. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area through 11pm. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Paterson, Wayne, Hackensack, Bergenfield, Paramus, West Milford, Ridgewood, Monsey, Nanuet, Ramsey, Ringwood, Pompton Lakes, Suffern, Caldwell, Tappan, Sloatsburg, Hawthorne, Pearl River, Oradell and Bloomingdale. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood
