INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Adult Male - deceased; name withheld pending family notification
On Tuesday, July 4th, 2023, at about 5:11 PM, Pomona Police Dispatch received a call of an injury traffic collision at Park Ave and Orange Grove Ave involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived on-scene, they discovered the motorcyclist down and unresponsive in the intersection. Officers performed lifesaving measures, and the motorcyclist was transported to a nearby hospital. He unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased by hospital staff.
The other involved driver remained on-scene, and is cooperating fully with the investigation. The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this collision.
