Attempted Motor Vehicle Theft - Sylvester Street 
On July 4, 2023 at 8:15pm, Patrol Units responded to a Sylvester Street address on the report of an attempted motor vehicle theft. The victim observed two males wearing masks attempting to enter a 2021 BMW. A member of the residence was able to startle the suspects who fled in a 2019 white Maserati which was believed to be stolen out of Lincoln Park.
Residents are encouraged to be vigilant in locking not only their vehicles, but also ensuring that their homes are secured during overnight hours. Also, check that your security cameras are operational.
