Sheriff’s Detectives Investigate Keyes Shooting Homicide
Keyes, CA -
Detectives with the Stanislaus County Sheriff’s Office are currently investigating a late overnight shooting homicide in Keyes which resulted in the death of a 18-year-old male.
On Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 2:10 a.m., patrol deputies responded to Anna Ave. & Clark St. on the report of a person down. Upon their arrival, they located a man down in the street suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Deputies immediately began to attempt life-saving measures by performing CPR.
Other emergency first responders, to include fire and EMT paramedics, began arriving on-scene to assist with caring for the victim’s injuries. The victim was later transported to a local area hospital, where he unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. Major Crimes Unit detectives soon arrived on-scene and assumed control of the investigation.
