Air Quality Alert through midnight; Cooling Centers open at the Senior Center and Public Library
The North Brunswick Office of Emergency Management advises residents that the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection has issued a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day for Ground Level Ozone, until midnight tonight.
Sensitive individuals, including the very young, the elderly and persons with respiratory diseases such as asthma, should avoid strenuous activities during the afternoon and early evening hours.
Also, due to anticipated temperatures over 90 degrees the rest of week, Cooling Centers will be open Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 7 at the North Brunswick Senior Center, 15 Linwood Place and North Brunswick Public Library, 880 Hermann Road.
The cooling center hours at the Senior Center are:
Wednesday, July 5 through Friday, July 7: 10 a.m. – 3:45 p.m.
The cooling center hours at the Public Library are:
Wednesday, July 5: 9:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Thursday, July 6: 9:30 a.m. – 7:45 p.m.
Friday, July 7: 9:30 a.m. – 4:45 p.m.
