* At 530 PM CDT, a severe thunderstorm was located near Montrose, or near Toledo, moving northeast at 45 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and penny size hail. SOURCE...Public reported downed trees and power poles in Effingham. IMPACT...Expect damage to roofs, siding, and trees.

* This severe thunderstorm will remain over mainly rural areas of southwestern Coles, northwestern Jasper, southeastern Shelby, western Cumberland, north central Clay and eastern Effingham Counties, including the following locations... Trowbridge, Woodbury, Gila, Effingham County Airport, Elliotstown, Sigel, Latona and Heartville. This includes the following highways... Interstate 57 between mile markers 158 and 180.
