* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...A portion of northeast Illinois, including the following areas, Cook, DuPage and Will.
* WHEN...Until 1000 PM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Underpasses may be flooded. Roads and streets may be flooded.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 556 PM CDT, doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated a line of thunderstorms with heavy rainfall extending from northwest Cook County south through western DuPage County. These storms have a history of producing rain rates of 1 to 2 inches per hour. Minor flooding of roadways and underpasses may begin quickly after thunderstorms arrive. - Rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible over the area. - Some locations that may experience minor flooding include...
