Deputies Investigate Possession of Dangerous Fireworks and Locate an Unserialized Firearm in the Suspect's Home

INCIDENT: Possession of Unserialized Firearm
LOCATION: 12000 block of Baylies Circle, Yucaipa
SUSPECT(S): Khrystian Ramos Sanchez, 26-year-old Male, Resident of Yucaipa
VICTIM(S): The People of the State of California
SUMMARY: On Tuesday, July 4, 2023, deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, Yucaipa Police Station, received information Khrystian Ramos Sanchez, was in possession of dangerous and illegal fireworks. During the investigation, deputies located a social media post showing Ramos Sanchez unloading boxes of illegal fireworks from his vehicle. Deputies worked in conjunction with the Sheriff’s Department's Arson and Bomb detail, as well as personnel from Cal-Fire, to confirm the fireworks were illegal to possess per the California Penal Code.
Deputies located Ramos Sanchez' residence and a search warrant was authored. Deputies served the search warrant and contacted Ramos Sanchez at the location. While serving the search warrant, deputies located an unserialized firearm in the residence. The fireworks seen in the social media post were not located. Ramos Sanchez was arrested at the conclusion of the investigation and booked into the Central Detention Center for possession of an unserialized firearm.
