Advisory

Changes to Borough Services.

Due to the upcoming Labor Day Holiday, there will be changes in many Borough services. Please be advised of the following changes.
 
Garbage & Recycling – Due to the Holiday, there will be no garbage collection on Monday, September 4, 2023. The entire town will be collected on Tuesday, September 6th .
 
Parking – Alternate Side of the Street Parking rules will be suspended on Monday, September 4th. Overnight Parking rules will remain in effect.
 
Transportation – The Senior Bus and Medical Transport will be suspended on Monday, September 4th. Services will resume on Tuesday, September 6th.
 
Road Closures – There are no planned road closures at this time.
 
Borough Hall – The Borough Hall will be closed on Monday, September 4th and will reopen Tuesday, September 6th. Hours for Borough Hall are 8:30 to 4:30 Monday thru Friday, excluding holidays.
 
Municipal Court – Court sessions continue to be held virtually only, there are NO in person court sessions.  The court offices are open to assist those who have business with the court.  The office is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM. The office will be closed during court sessions in order to enable the staff the ability to assist those scheduled. However, the office will be closed on Monday, September 4th and will reopen Tuesday, September 6th.
 
Library -- The William E. Dermody Free Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 4th and will reopen on Tuesday, September 6th. Hours for the Library are 10am to 8pm, Monday through Thursday; 10 am to 5 pm on Fridays. The library will resume its Saturday hours on Saturday, September 9th. The hours on Saturday will be 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
 

 
Testing Center – The COVID-19 Testing Center and Vaccine Clinic at Sun Chemical has been closed due to  lack of  use. If you need a test or vaccine, please see your doctor, or visit a pharmacy such as CVS or Walgreen’s.
