4th of July Fireworks Enforcement Results
During this 4th of July, Fremont Police officers responded to 65 calls for service and 24 Fremont App requests regarding illegal fireworks. We ultimately confiscated 2,335+ counts of fireworks and issued 9 citations. Fremont Police, Fire, and City staff proactively made contact at numerous locations throughout the city and issued verbal warnings. Our priority was to educate and prevent injuries. Citations were issued for on-view violations when officers witnessed the ignition of fireworks. Fremont Fire also responded to over 90 fireworks-related calls for service and provided mutual aid to a nearby city requesting assistance with their fireworks and emergency response incidents. We thank our community for keeping each other safe during this year’s celebration.
