* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...Portions of north central Alabama and northeast Alabama, including the following counties, in north central Alabama, Cullman. In northeast Alabama, Marshall.
* WHEN...Until 330 AM CDT.
* IMPACTS...Expect many areas of slow moving or standing water.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1148 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. Flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area. Between 1.5 and 2.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5 to 1 inch are possible in the warned area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Albertville, Cullman, Boaz, Guntersville, Good Hope, Holly Pond, Baldwin, Vinemont, Douglas, Baileyton, West Point, Joppa, Walter, Phelan, Hyatt, Horton, Mountain View, High Point, Rabbit Town and Battleground. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded roads. Find an alternate route.
